The Mississippi State Highway Patrol stands guard outside the Governors mansion and hands out masks at a peaceful protest by Black Lives Matter. She spoke of a change that is sweeping across the world, to end systematic racism and police brutality. As a black woman in America she said how could she not be there in support.

Student Maisie Brown 18yrs old from Jackson organized a peaceful protest outside the Governors Mansion. She said there voices would be heard and her face would be seen- change is coming. The protest was in honor of George Floyd and in support of ending systematic racism and to end police brutality in Mississippi and America. The National Black Panthers Party from Tupelo Mississippi showed up outside the Governors mansion in the shadow of the State Capitol to protest police brutality. The National Black Panthers Party was their to show their support for change in Mississippi, to end systemic racism and police brutality. Protests have broken out around the world in solidarity to end white supremacy and police brutality. The Panthers showed up at the end of a peaceful protest organized by 18yr old student Maisie Brown. The brutal murder of African American George Floyd by the knee and hands of 4 former Minneapolis Minnesota police officers has sparked a cry for justice and reform around the world.
