In a long sought victory the United States Supreme Court ruled 5-4 in favor of same sex marriage. Even though the US Supreme Court ruled in favor of same sex marriage and the Constitution guarantees a right to same sex marriage, the State of Mississippi refused to issue marriage licenses to same sex couples at the Jackson County Clerks office Friday June 26, 2015.
