Rededication of the Emmett Till memorial sign
Students Tyler Yarbrough, left in vest and Curtis Hill both students at The University of Mississippi aka Ole Miss, carry the bullet ridden Emmett Till memorial sign onto campus by the Grove where the Confederate Statute has been on display for decades. They said they were doing this because the Confederate statute is an injustice and should be removed. Both students were part of a symposium earlier on campus as part of the Remembering Emmett Till event. Months earlier 3 white Ole Miss students shot up the sign the boys are carrying, it was at Graball landing marking the site where the body of Emmett Till was removed from the Tallahatchie River and then the white Ole Miss students posted pictures on it in social media.Copyright ©Suzi Altman #till
